Recenzia: HTC Desire HD (12. 11. 2010)
S otázkou o pravdivosti nepríjemnej správy pre majiteľov Desire HD sme oslovili slovenské zastúpenie. Na písomné oficiálne stanovisko HTC síce čakáme, dostali sme však sprostredkované vyjadrenie výrobcu k vzniknutej fáme zverejnené na stránke softpedia.com.
Hovorca spoločnosti HTC sa vyjadril, že firma je aj naďalej odhodlaná poskytovať zákazníkom najnovšie aktualizácie softvéru, pokiaľ to len bude možné. Zároveň potvrdil, že plánujú doručiť aktualizáciu v stanovenom čase nielen pre Desire HD, ale aj Desire S.
Domnienka o zrušení updatu na Ice Cream Sandwich pre Desire HD vznikla na základe pôvodne zverejneného dokumentu kanadského operátora Telus, kde je aktualizácia označená ako nedostupná. Údajne mal smartfón počas testovania nového softvéru podávať zlý výkon.

HTC reminded all of its customers that it has the customer experience uppermost on its mind, and Android 4.0 on the HTC Desire HD just did not cut it. So the one time flagship model is stuck on Gingerbread."
